Dumpster Rentals

Sometimes a construction or remodeling project requires a temporary dumpster. At Avery Cleaning, we offer 14-yard dumpster rentals—along with reliable delivery and pick-up—to help you get rid of waste in a safe and responsible way.

Use our simple guide below to help you plan your dumpster rental.

        1. Identify what type of project you have

Our 14-yard dumpsters are ideal for projects that involve household junk removal, cleaning up yard debris and other medium-sized projects that don’t generate a great deal of waste.

Household junk removal includes getting rid of an array of items commonly relegated to garages or basements, such as old furniture, toys, books, clothes and appliances. These types of clean-outs are common when moving in or out of a residence, and 14-yard dumpsters are a good size for such undertakings.

Cleaning up yard debris might involve disposing of leaves, dirt, grass shavings and small branches. These types of yard projects are typically well accommodated by 14-yard dumpsters.

Medium-sized projects, such as some concrete or stone jobs, or light demolishing or roof repairs, might also be well suited to the 14-yard dumpster size. The important thing is to make sure the project doesn’t generate more than a moderate amount of waste.

        2. Estimate how much material you have to dispose of

Dumpster rental prices are based on weight. When you exceed an allotted weight limit with a dumpster rental, you are charged for the extra weight, commonly known as the "tonnage rate." At Avery Cleaning, we charge $150 per ton if you exceed the limit on our 14-yard dumpster.

This is why it’s cost-effective to estimate how much material you plan to dispose of before deciding on dumpster size. The last thing you want to do is spend money renting a large dumpster for 4 or 5 tons of material, when all you really need is a 14-yard dumpster for 1 or 2 tons. If you rent a dumpster with a high weight limit, but don’t end up coming close to that cut-off, you will not receive a refund for the unused weight.

Most companies would love to sell you a large dumpster for medium-sized projects, like cleaning out your house, as these companies know you won't come close to accumulating a lot of weight even though you will be obligated to pay for it. It’s in your best interest to understand how the tonnage rate is calculated when planning your dumpster rental.

Whether you are dealing with unwanted waste left behind by your tenants or planning a construction project, our bulk pick-up service and dumpster rentals are just a call away. Contact Avery Cleaning today at (860) 503-8333 for pricing and availability.
